Mounjaro (Tirzepatide)

GPs now have permission to prescribe weight loss injections for those with a BMI of 40+ AND 4 out of 5 weight-related medical conditions. In Knowsley, there are less than 100 people potentially eligible.

The service for prescribing these injections is still with the ICB, so cannot yet be prescribed locally, any prescriptions will be from a GP service and not your GP.

Please do not attempt to book an appointment to discuss weight loss injections; you will be taking calls from others who need them and will not be getting a prescription even if you are in the limited group eligible.
