Approximately 350,000 women die from cervical cancer globally each year — but cervical screening can help prevent cervical cancer before it develops.
At Stockbridge Village Medical Centre, we understand that many women may feel worried, embarrassed, unsure, or may simply have put their screening off due to busy lives, past experiences, anxiety, cultural beliefs, or misconceptions about the test. You are not alone — and we are here to help without judgement.
We are hosting a Cervical Screening Open Evening to make screening more accessible in a relaxed, supportive, and welcoming environment for all women.
Wednesday 22nd July 2026
6.30pm – 7.30pm
Stockbridge Village Medical Centre
Leach Croft, Waterpark Drive, L28 3QA
Our friendly Nursing Team will be available to:

Explain exactly what happens during the test
Talk through common myths and misconceptions

Help you book or attend your cervical screening
No appointment needed — just drop in
